Tess Stephens studied violinmaking at the New World School of Violin Making in Preque Isle, Wisconsin under the tutelage of its founder, maker Brian Derber. Stephen’s violin plays very sweetly with a focused and clean sound that is even across all four strings. The varnish is medium-orange and has a two piece back with subtle flames descending outward from the center.
