Matthew grew up in New Brighton, MN and has played violin and viola for 16 years. He graduated in 2020 from the St. Cloud State University with a degree in viola performance. He has performed with the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, Great Theatre pit orchestra and is a member of the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra and is principal violist of the Bethel Symphony Orchestra. He is grateful to his teachers Stella Anderson, Marion Judish, and Elizabeth York. His favorite pastimes are hiking, biking, rock climbing, and writing music. Matthew is eager to be working with violinists and violists to help them find their forever instrument and bow.
