John Wu, a student of renowned luthier Rene A. Morel, was born in China, learned violin making at an early age, and is the founder of Classical Strings, Los Angeles.  His accolades include a best violin sound quality prize in the Chinese National Violin Making competition and an award for sound and craftsmanship from the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers.  We are very excited to offer this wonderful cello modeled after the Domenico Montegnana “Sleeping Princes” from 1739.  Your eyes will be captivated by this gorgeous cello, cloaked in a medium red-orange brown varnish and was hand made under Wu’s supervision in 2022.
