Mario Gadda, son of master maker Gaetano Gadda, student and successor to Stefano Scarampella, was born in Mantua, Italy. Many of his instruments, such as this cello,  were inspired by his father’s teacher, Stefano Scarampella, who was one of the founders of the Mantuan tradition. This cello has a gorgeous round and even tone throughout the lower and higher register. This instrument would be perfect for a professional cellist.
