Born in Mantua, Italy (1962), Luca Salvadori is one of the most important violin makers of this generation. He is a graduate of the acclaimed International School of Violin Making of Cremona and studied with G.B. Morrasi. His work is usually inspired by Stradivarius models, but he also uses personal models. He has competed and placed highly in a number of international violin competitions.
