Born in Cremona (1967), award-winning Maurizio Tadioli is highly regarded in the world of violin-making. Growing up he studied under his luthier grandfather, Carlo Pizzamiglio. He attended the Scuola Internazionale di Liuteria earning the highest grades and his diploma in 1985. In 2004, he attended a masterclass held by Samuel Zygmuntowicz; one of the best luthiers of his generation. He also attended a masterclass held by Christian Bajon; previous assistant of J. Smith and Vatelot.
This clear and refined viola will be your right-hand instrument. Its powerful sound allows it to cut through as a soloist, but the beauty allows it to blend in an ensemble as well. There is no harshness about this viola; the A string is sweet, and the entire instrument has depth and richness. It also has an incredible response, perfect for a professional with multiple needs as a chamber and orchestra player.
