Matt Haimovitz picked up his 5-string piccolo cello from us on Friday. Andrew Dipper converted his childhood 3/4 cello to a 5 string piccolo cello making a new neck and fingerboard as well as significant restoration. It sounded absolutely beautiful! Matt has an incredible new CD of the 6 Bach Solo Cello Suites on Pentatone. The 6th suite is played on a 5-string cello. Watch for more incredible performances and recordings from Haimovitz using this cello.
