Givens Violins sponsored the Pamela Frank Master Class at the MacPhail Center for Music, March 17, 2010. Pamela Frank’s insistence on examining the composers’ intentions and infinite capacity to articulate and demonstrate complex musical content was inspiring to all of us in the audience. It allowed for dramatic transformations among the participants. The players included: Nora Scheller, Sedra Bistodeau, JiHye Shin, and Sarah Grimes. We are grateful for Pamela Frank’s continued interest in working with the MacPhail Center for Music.
