16-1/4″ Ute Zahn, Beverley, Hong Kong 1988: German born cellist, Ute Zahn, is an experience luthier and instrument restorer. After graduating from the Newark School of Violin Making in 1987, Zahn worked in East Yorkshire, Hong Kong, and Minneapolis restoring and making instruments. She currently teaches at the Southeast Technical College in Red Wing, Minnesota. This viola has a golden orange varnish. It produces a smooth and clear tone that has beautiful warmth heard across all four strings. It would make a wonderful instrument for the advancing student.
