Amedee Dominique Dieudonne (b.1890, fl.from 1920) had excellent training having been a pupil of Gustav Bazin and worked for Hilaire Darche in Brussels. In 1920 he established his business in Mirecourt . Dieudonne was recognized for producing exceptional replicas of classical models of violins. This instrument specifically is a replica of a golden period Stradivarius and is in excellent condition. This instrument has a charming brown-amber varnish with a beautifully flamed two-piece back. The violin is extremely easy to play. It is comfortable to hold, and sound production is immediate. It produces a bold clarity on the lower range and a soaring upper range. This instrument would be ideal for the advanced or professional player.
