Carlo Chiesa is well known as an archival researcher specializing in the history of the violin family. He has published many articles and books and is most famous for finding the Last Will of Antonio Stradivari in 1995 along with Duane Rosengard. His work has added great depth to the understanding of the Classical Cremonese School of violinmaking. He is a 1985 graduate of the Violin Making School in Milan and currently works as a freelance maker and restorer. His masterful craftsmanship produces violins with brilliant color and depth and this violin is no different. It has easy playability, quick response, and produces a quality of sound that is clear and resonant, ranging from a rich and colorful lower register to a powerful, singing upper register. It would suit an advanced player who is looking for versatility in their instrument.
