Johannes Georg Brukner (1888-1948) learned violin-making from his father, Henrich Albin Brukner. He went on to work for Eugen Gartner in Stuttgart, Germany, and spent time in South America in 1912. Later on he worked with his uncle, Otto Seifert, in 1914–developing his skills to eventually open his own business in Markneukirchen.
This violin sings with a dark, midnight blue color. Its rich lower end sings beautifully, and carries an even sound across the instrument. This violin would be perfect for professional musicians and soloists wanting a clean and broody sound.
