Thomas Crompton is a graduate of the Violin Making School of America having studied under Charles Woolf, Sanghoon Lee, and Alex Wilson. He worked at Peter Prier & Sons Violins while in school, where he restored a great number of fine instruments. He’s taken inspiration from their history and craftsmanship for his violinmaking. Thomas currently lives in Indianapolis, IN, making his own violins and assisting the violin maker Sofia Vettori. This violin has an incredibly bold sound and a great response reflective of the violin he used as his model by Domenico Montagnana. The instrument has a very colorful voice with impressive resonance. It would be perfect for an advanced student or collegiate player.
