William Robinson (b.1880, c.1960) began violin making in Plumstead, south London in 1910.   He was advised and influenced by Dykes & Sons.  He was a prolific and distinguished craftsman who completed about 400 violins based on the classical Cremonese models.  This violin is quick to respond and easy to play. It is quite expressive and produces a vibrant and rich tone. It can adapt to any musical setting and would be ideal for an advanced or professional player.
