Claire Givens Violins guarantees a one year warranty against defects in material and workmanship for any instrument or bow purchased from us. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only. Included under a lifetime warranty are all repairs and restorations performed by Claire Givens Violins, to any instrument or bow purchased from us. Limitations apply to issues of basic maintenance and routine usage.

Not included under warranty is damage or defects caused by the following:
-Routine maintenance, wear and tear
-Misuse, negligence, and/or intentional damage
-Cracking of wood and/or varnish, or open seams, due to temperature or humidity changes

Included under warranty is damage or defects caused by the following:
-Cracks to the body of the instrument, determined by Claire Givens Violins to have been caused by the shifting or settling in of the woods.
-Warping and/or cracking of neck, fingerboard, and scroll
-Breakage of parts of wood bows, or bow shafts, determined by Claire Givens Violins to have been caused by defects in materials or workmanship.

Claire Givens Violins offers Instrument Care sheets upon customer request, to give guidance regarding proper humidification, temperature, cleaning/polishing, and more. We strongly recommend that our customers bring their instruments and bows to the shop at least every six months for a free checkup, to ensure and maintain a healthy instrument and bow.
